Damon Albarn recalls meeting Specials frontman Terry Hall – Fakazakamp

Damon Albarn has recalled the primary time he met “coolest human” Terry Corridor.

Throughout a latest look on Radio X, the Blur frontman/Gorillaz co-creator paid tribute to the late Specials singer, who died on the age of 63 final December following a battle with most cancers.

“I used to be a child of 14,” Damon recounted of his first encounter with Terry. “I one way or the other managed to get to a filming of High of the Pops, and I discovered myself standing beneath Terry Corridor and thought, ‘That is the good human being on Earth.'”

Terry later featured on and co-wrote the Gorillaz venture 911, and Damon labored on Terry’s solo works Chasing A Rainbow, and Room Full Of Nothing, amongst others.

Damon concluded, “He was a stunning, stunning, enjoyable particular person, and I did not know he was so ailing, so I by no means bought an opportunity to say goodbye.”
