Elton John has “fondly” reminisced in regards to the time he danced with Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Citadel.
The British royal handed away on the age of 96 on 8 September and was honoured with a state funeral at Westminster Abbey in London on Monday.
After the ceremony occurred, Elton took to Instagram to share two images of him assembly with The Queen and remembered how he as soon as danced together with her to Rock Across the Clock by Invoice Haley & His Comets.
“At present I will be becoming a member of the remainder of the world in remembering Her Majesty The Queen. My very own reminiscences of her are stuffed with pleasure and admiration. The Queen honoured me with a CBE, a knighthood and the Companion of Honour,” he shared. “I used to be fortunate sufficient to carry out at three of her Jubilees. They have been all the time joyous and humbling experiences. However it was the moments out of the general public eye that I’ll most fondly bear in mind her for; dancing collectively to Rock Across the Clock at Windsor Citadel or experiencing her nice wit, heat and humour first-hand. After The Queen’s passing, Elton issued a press release during which he remembered her “inspiring presence”.
“Together with the remainder of the nation, I’m deeply saddened to listen to the information of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s passing,” the 75-year-old posted. “She was an inspiring presence to be round, and led the nation via a few of our biggest, and darkest, moments with grace, decency and a real caring heat.
