Lil Nas X has apologised to the trans neighborhood after joking that he transitioned.

The Montero rapper took to Twitter on Wednesday with an apology to his trans followers after he joked that he had transitioned.

In a since-deleted tweet, he posted a photograph of a lady with a resemblance to him, writing “The surgical procedure was successful.”

After the rapper – whose actual identify is Montero Lamar Hill – acquired backlash for the joke, he admitted it went too far.

“Apologies to the trans neighborhood, I (undoubtedly) dealt with that scenario with anger as a substitute of contemplating why it was not cool,” he wrote on Wednesday. “A lot like to you guys. Sorry.”

When one person referred to as the apology “pretend as hell”, Montero replied, “Lady eat my a**.”
