Mick Jagger and Naomi Campbell have led tributes to music icon Tina Turner.
On Wednesday, a publicist introduced that the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll had handed away at her house in Zurich, Switzerland following a protracted sickness. She was 83.
“Together with her music and her boundless ardour for all times, she enchanted hundreds of thousands of followers all over the world and impressed the celebs of tomorrow,” they posted alongside a portrait of Tina on Instagram. “At this time we are saying goodbye to a pricey good friend who leaves us all her best work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her household. Tina, we’ll miss you dearly.”
Tributes quickly started to circulation, with Rolling Stones icon Mick honouring his “fantastic” good friend in an emotional message.
“I am so saddened by the passing of my fantastic good friend Tina Turner. She was really an enormously gifted performer and singer. She was inspiring, heat, humorous and beneficiant. She helped me a lot after I was younger and I’ll always remember her,” he commented.
In a heartfelt submit, Bryan Adams additionally provided condolences to Tina’s household and pals.
“I will be ceaselessly grateful for the time we spent collectively on tour, within the studio and as pals,” the Canadian star wrote. “Thanks for being the inspiration to hundreds of thousands of individuals all over the world for talking your reality and giving us the present of your voice. It is Solely Love and that is all.”
As well as, Naomi remembered Tina as “THE QUEEN, LEGEND, ICON,” whereas Bette Midler described the Proud Mary hitmaker as “a fully sensible performer and inspiration to us all”.
“Could flights of angels sing her to her relaxation, but when I do know Tina, she is singing lead,” she continued.
Elsewhere, Ciara tweeted, “Heaven has gained an angel,” whereas Rosario Dawson posted, “Rejoice In Paradise Queen. Legends By no means Die. Relaxation In Energy.”
Tina, who suffered from a number of medical situations in recent times, moved from the U.S. to Switzerland in 1994. She lived in Küsnacht close to Zurich together with her second husband, German music government Erwin Bach.
