The 76th version of the distinguished Cannes Movie Competition took over the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès from Might 16 to 27, the place among the most charming TV reveals and movies made their worldwide premieres.
Past the actors, administrators, producers and extra on the occasion, a lot of musical stars additionally made appearances on the pageant’s iconic pink carpet. The Weeknd, BLACKPINK‘s Jennie and Troye Sivan all attended The Idol premiere on Might 22, as all three star within the HBO present co-created by The Weeknd himself alongside Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim.
One other BLACKPINK member to tackle Cannes was Rosé, who attended the premiere of Monster, a drama by Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda that reportedly obtained a six-minute-long standing ovation from the viewers.
Dua Lipa, in the meantime, made her pink carpet debut with boyfriend Romain Gavras on the premiere for the movie Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers). “Final evening in Cannes with my sweetheart,” Lipa wrote on Instagram alongside snapshots of herself cozying as much as Gavras.
