As George Santos continues to dig himself deeper and deeper into the continuing scandal about his many (many) lies, viral comic Randy Rainbow is completely satisfied to take a seat again and watch … and sure, sing a present tune or two.
On Wednesday (March 15), Rainbow launched his newest parody tune, “Life’s a F–king Fantasy for Santos,” castigating the New York congressman for his repeated lies each on and off the marketing campaign path. Kicking off the video with a cheery reinvention of “Jolly Vacation” from Disney’s 1964 basic Mary Poppins, Rainbow wastes no time in letting Santos know precisely what he thinks of him. “Ain’t he a sack of BS?/ How’d they elect such a multitude?” Rainbow opines within the tune’s opening strains. “I believe he may be excessive.”
Because the tune picks up steam, Rainbow — now wearing full Julie Andrews drag — begins to rattle off an inventory of issues on Santos’ resumé. The ensuing patter mixes in disputed claims the consultant has really made (that he was a “Wall Road tycoon,” for instance), different claims that he has tried to obscure (corresponding to his alleged profession as a drag queen in Brazil), and some humorous jokes that the comic peppered in (calling Santos “the very first girl to land on the moon.”)
Simply as issues start to get as chaotic as they’ll, Rainbow instantly transitions into new parody of The Seekers’ 1966 hit “Georgy Woman,” taking over the Australian folk-pop group’s groovy look to additional humiliate Santos. “Hey there, Georgy lady/ Shut your silly gap and don’t deflect,” he croons over the mellow manufacturing. “Discover a bit of self-respect/ And possibly it’s you they’ll like.”
By the point it’s the ultimate stanza of the tune, Rainbow expertly mashes each songs collectively to get in a sequence of final digs on the embattled congressman. “His nostril retains rising because the Feds shut in,” Rainbow declares. “‘Trigger all the things’s a fantasy with Santos/ My fantasy’s that Santos goes away!”
