Three of British singer Sheila Chandra’s solo voice albums from the ’90s are getting reissued by Actual World Data on June 16: Weaving My Ancestors’ Voices (1992), The Zen Kiss (1994), and ABoneCroneDrone (1996).
Chandra retired from music in 2009 after dropping her voice; she was recognized with Burning Mouth Syndrome. These albums mark a few of her ultimate recordings. “I can’t hear again to those data these days in case I’m tempted to sing alongside, as it could be agony,” Chandra stated in an announcement. “I’m delighted that Actual World Data are reissuing the albums of which I’m most proud. They’re a real reflection of me personally. They don’t sound like every other Asian musician who was making music on the time, and I very a lot doubt that they sound like every other musician now.”
